Overdraft Protection: An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your Checking Account to cover your purchase, written check, bill payment, or withdrawal. To protect yourself from “bouncing checks” and missing important payments, you can opt-in to the ACU Overdraft Protection plan. With Overdraft Protection, you link an ACU Savings Account, ACU Home Equity, or your ACU VISA® Credit Card that can be utilized to cover the amount needed in your Checking Account in the event of an overdraft. A small fee is incurred for this service from a Savings Account. Please see our fee schedule for the most up-to-date information.
Courtesy Pay: With Courtesy Pay, America’s Credit Union will cover an overdraft amount up to $750 for qualified members. ACU will automatically cover checks you write, ACH transactions, and Bill Pay transactions if you’re enrolled in Courtesy Pay. You must opt-in to Courtesy Pay coverage for everyday debit card transactions and ATM transactions if you would like overdraft coverage for those items. A small fee is incurred for this service. Please see our fee schedule for the most up-to-date information.
