What do I need to do to earn the higher savings rate?

All you need is a qualifying monthly direct deposit into your Momentum+ Rewards Checking. The greater the monthly direct deposit, the higher the rate tier your savings can unlock. It’s built to reward real life, not perfection, so even smaller, steady deposits help you move up.

³ The account includes an Overdraft Forgiveness allowance based on your qualifying ACH deposits to be considered for the overdraft forgiveness. This means that if your account becomes overdrawn, the fee associated with the negative balance event may be forgiven up to three (3) times during a rolling 12-month period measured from the date the forgiveness is applied. ACH overdraft fees, NSF/Courtesy Pay fees, and overdraft transfer fees are processed as a credit at month-end when applicable. Overdraft Forgiveness does not apply to overdrafts exceeding your limits, repeated overdrafts, or overdrafts resulting from fraudulent or unauthorized activity. The account must be open ninety (90) days or longer, and the Momentum+ Rewards accounts must be in good standing. The credit union reserves the right to deny forgiveness if account misuse or abuse is suspected. Overdraft Forgiveness is provided at the credit union’s discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Members remain responsible for monitoring their account activity and maintaining a positive balance.

⁴ Offer valid for qualifying new Momentum+ Rewards accounts. The one-time bonus eligibility is based on qualifying direct deposits received during the third full month-end cycle period after account opening, with the applicable bonus credited the following month. Qualifying direct deposits generally include payroll, pension, or government benefits and exclude person-to-person payments (including but not limited to Zelle®, Cash App®, PayPal®, Venmo®, or similar services), transfers, or deposits made by the account holder themselves. Determination of qualifying direct deposits is at the Credit Union’s discretion. Limit one bonus per membership. Bonus requires opening both a Momentum+ Rewards Checking account and a Momentum+ Rewards Savings account, and both accounts must be open and in good standing at the time the bonus is paid. Bonus not available for account conversions. Members without a checking account who have not had a checking account with the Credit Union in the past 12 months may qualify. Bonus funds will be reported as dividend income and will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT. Offer subject to change.
