Savings is crucial to financial well-being. That’s why we’ve created our Savings Account to be simple, straightforward, and easy to use so you can start building wealth and investing in your future.

Sometimes referred to as a Share Account, or Share Savings Account, your Savings Account represents your share of ownership in our credit union. Every member of America’s Credit Union is a part owner in our financial cooperative. Learn more about ownership on our Membership page.

The ACU regular Savings Account can be accessed online, in any of our branch locations, or at an ATM if you have an ACU Checking Account with a debit card.

Savings Account Features

  • $25 minimum deposit to open.
  • Establishes your share of ownership in the credit union.
  • Dividends earned on balances of $200 and above.
  • Dividends are paid quarterly.

The Easiest Way to Add to Your Savings Account

If you’re not familiar with the 52 Week Savings Challenge, it’s a relatively easy way to add to your Savings Account over the course of a year.

On the first week put $1 in your Savings Account and leave it there for the whole year. On the second week put $2 in your Savings Account. Continue this pattern so on the 52nd week you’re depositing $52 into your Savings Account. At the end of the year, you will have saved $1,378 plus interest!
