Our mission is to empower member-owners to improve their economic well-being. We do that by placing high value and importance on our core values: service, integrity, excellence, financial stability, and the cooperative philosophy.
We are dedicated to improving the communities that we serve. You'll see ACU employees volunteering and participating in various events throughout the year in our local community. You can get involved by subscribing to our blog posts and newsletter to stay up-to-date on our upcoming community involvement you can participate in.
ACU is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. These volunteers are members at ACU. If you're a member-owner you can run for election onto our Board of Directors too! A Board of Directors comprised of members is just one of the ways credit unions differ from banks.
We have a rich history in the Garland, TX community. First formed as the Kraft Credit Union on November 6, 1934, we have grown and evolved over the years to the strong credit union we are today. Visit
Our History page for more information about ACU over the years.
